The 'Our Father' prayer in the Gospel reading reflects the relationship between God and us through prayer. God is intimately close to us as a father to his child. God is also a 'friend' to us, so we can open ourselves to God even in our sinful state.

We acknowledge that the Fatherhood/Motherhood of God is not a matter of doctrine but an experience of the unconditional love of God in our relationship with Him.

Saying 'Our Father' daily reminds us of the holiness of God's name. By this act, God draws us to a renewed and refreshed heart and enables us to communicate with the community in love and service.

In our prayer to God, we dedicate ourselves to God's plan and our commitment to continue Jesus' mission on earth, which includes the act of forgiveness, and this free gift of God's forgiveness is extended to all!

In the first reading, we see how a community lives the shared common mission in different ministries and fraternal correction with the main aim of sharing the Good News in faith and truth (Gal 2: 11 - 14).

Let us slowly and meaningfully pray: Our Father in heaven ...
